Over 100 Killed in Storms and Heavy Rain Across Uttar Pradesh; CM Yogi Announces Relief Aid
Goa, May 15 -- More than 100 people lost their lives after severe storms and heavy rainfall battered several parts of Uttar Pradesh on Thursday, causing widespread destruction and disruption across the state.
According to reports, strong winds uprooted trees and electric poles, while several houses suffered damage due to the sudden weather disturbance. Large clouds of dust engulfed many areas as weather conditions changed abruptly in the evening.
The highest number of deaths was reported from Prayagraj, where 21 people died. Bhadohi recorded 18 fatalities, followed by Mirzapur with 15 and Fatehpur with 10 deaths.
