Goa, April 14 -- In a notable move towards digital participation, more than 10,000 households in Goa have opted for self-enumeration in the ongoing Census 2027 exercise.
Officials described the response as encouraging, pointing to growing public engagement with the online system that enables residents to generate unique identification numbers and submit their census details in advance.
The self-enumeration process is designed to streamline data collection and improve accuracy, with submitted information set to be verified later through field visits by census officials. Authorities believe the increased adoption of the digital platform marks a positive step toward more efficient and participatory data gathering.
