Over 1 Crore Sq Metres of Goa Land Proposed for No-Development Zone Status
Goa, June 13 -- The Town and Country Planning (TCP) Department has notified proposals to designate more than one crore square metres of land across Goa as No-Development Zones (NDZ). According to the official gazette notification, the identified areas include large parcels in Gancim, Carambolim, Calapur and Batim in Tiswadi taluka, along with Benaulim and Cavelossim in Salcete.The proposed zones comprise ecologically sensitive landscapes such as khazan lands, mangroves, paddy fields, salt pans, orchards, fish farms, rivers, nallas, water bodies and sand dunes.
