Olympic Medallist Lovlina Borgohain Urges Glasgow Restaurant to Correct Inaccurate Indian Map
Goa, Aug. 2 -- A celebratory dinner following India's record-breaking boxing performance at the 2026 Commonwealth Games in Glasgow took a serious turn when Olympic medallist Lovlina Borgohain pointed out an inaccurate map of India.
Gathered at Mister Singh's India - The Home of Curry to celebrate the team's achievements, Borgohain noticed that the Indian map displayed outside the venue and printed on its napkins omitted the North East. Hailing from Assam, the boxer voiced her disappointment directly to the restaurant, explaining that excluding the region was deeply hurtful and requesting that the error be corrected.
