Panaji, June 4 -- The North Goa Sessions Court has granted interim anticipatory bail to activist Advino Fernandes in an extortion case registered by Mandrem Police. The next hearing is scheduled for June 4.

The North Goa Sessions Court has granted interim anticipatory bail to activist Advino Fernandes in connection with an extortion case registered against him by the Mandrem Police.

Fernandes has alleged that the case is a consequence of his efforts to expose and raise concerns regarding alleged illegal construction activities in the Coastal Regulation Zone (CRZ) area of Morjim.
