Goa, May 11 -- The North Goa District Road Safety Committee conducted a joint inspection of the accident-prone Ganeshpuri-Marna-Siolim road stretch following repeated accidents in the area. Officials examined major concerns, including steep gradients, drainage issues, inadequate road signage, and the absence of crash barriers. The inspection was carried out after complaints and safety concerns were raised by the Siolim Civic & Consumer Forum. Local residents also highlighted increasing risks faced by commuters using the route daily. Authorities are expected to recommend corrective measures aimed at improving road safety and preventing further accidents on the stretch.
