Goa, May 20 -- A meeting of the District Disaster Management Authority (DDMA) was held under the chairmanship of Ankit Yadav to review preparedness measures for the upcoming monsoon season in North Goa.

During the meeting, directions were issued to all deputy collectors and mamlatdars to ensure that taluka-level control rooms remain operational round-the-clock throughout the monsoon period.

Authorities including the Public Works Department (PWD), Water Resources Department (WRD), municipalities, and village panchayats were instructed to undertake proactive preventive measures in waterlogging-prone zones, landslide-sensitive areas, and locations with dilapidated structures.
