Nitin Gadkari Inaugurates Rs.641-Crore Porvorim 6-Lane Elevated Corridor
Goa, Sept. 9 -- Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari inaugurated Goa's much-awaited six-lane Porvorim Elevated Corridor on Wednesday, September 9. Built at a cost of Rs.641.46 crore, the 5.15-km elevated corridor connects the Hotel Majestic area in Porvorim to the Sangolda junction section of NH-66.
The project, sanctioned in April 2023, is aimed at easing daily traffic congestion and improving connectivity between North and South Goa. Chief Minister Pramod Sawant, PWD Minister Digambar Kamat, Union Minister of State for Power Shripad Naik, Cabinet Ministers and other dignitaries were present at the inauguration.
