India, March 30 -- The National Green Tribunal (NGT) has dismissed an appeal related to an alleged illegal structure in Morjim, citing that it was filed beyond the prescribed time limit.
The case pertained to a structure located in a coastal regulation zone, which the Goa Coastal Zone Management Authority had earlier ordered to be demolished, with directions to restore the land to its original condition.
During the proceedings, advocates Amey Phadte and Austin D'Souza represented the appellant. On behalf of GCZMA, Shubham Sinai Priolkar appeared, while Ankur Kumar represented another respondent.
With the appeal dismissed on grounds of delay, the earlier directive issued by GCZMA remains in force.
