Goa, July 28 -- A multidiscipli nary team of ecologists and social scientists, including a researcher from the Universi ty of Leeds in the United King dom, has mounted a scathing critique of the Environmen tal Impact Assessment (EIA) prepared for the controver sial Tinaighat-Collem rail way double-tracking project, identifying major scientific shortcomings, omissions in biodiversity documentation and the complete absence of a social impact assessment in a fresh peer-reviewed study.
