Goa, April 16 -- Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Wednesday stated that the country's military operations against Hezbollah are ongoing, with forces reportedly close to taking control of the group's stronghold in Bint Jbeil, even as international calls for a ceasefire between Israel and Lebanon intensify.

In a video address, Netanyahu said he has directed the Israeli military to continue strengthening the security zone in southern Lebanon while simultaneously engaging in negotiations with Lebanon for a possible peace agreement.
