Goa, Aug. 3 -- The Navelim Village Panchayat's Gram Sabha on Sunday deliberated on a range of civic issues affecting the village, with members passing several resolutions and seeking greater accountability on governance, infrastructure and environmental concerns.

A key issue before the Gram Sabha was the Panchayat's audit report. Members questioned several observations made by the auditor and decided not to approve or propose the report, stating that numerous issues highlighted in the audit required clarification. The Gram Sabha also passed a resolution seeking the removal of the implementation of Section 39A in Navelim, citing concerns over its application.
