Goa, May 22 -- Police have brought murder accused Sagar Rawal to Goa from Maharashtra after his arrest in connection with the alleged killing of Shaila Ghadi in Kudnem.

According to police sources, Rawal had allegedly assaulted and killed Shaila Ghadi before absconding from the state. Following a search operation with assistance from Maharashtra Police, the accused was traced and arrested in Maharashtra.

He was brought to Goa on Friday morning for further legal proceedings and interrogation.

Police said the investigation into the murder case is currently underway.
