India, March 17 -- Following directions from the Chief Minister, the Mines Department has begun demarcation of the Vedanta Limited-operated mining area in Mulgaon, responding to long-standing demands from local residents.

While the move has provided some temporary relief, villagers have reiterated their firm opposition to any resumption of mining activity until a buffer zone is clearly marked in accordance with the Regional Plan 2021.

Residents warned that they will not permit mining operations to begin unless their demands are fully met, stressing the need for transparency and adherence to planning regulations.
