Goa, Oct. 9 -- Madhya Pradesh police detained 15 activists and students from CJP and AISF at Itarsi railway station today. The group was traveling from Pune to New Delhi aboard the Goa Express to attend a planned protest at Jantar Mantar tomorrow. They intend to demand the resignation of Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar. Authorities forcibly removed the passengers from a general coach and relocated them to an undisclosed hotel. The detainees raised slogans on the platform, condemning the police intervention as a direct violation of their democratic rights.
