Satarda, Oct. 26 -- A 63-year-old woman, Shrutika Arondekar, and her 27-year-old son, Suhas Arondekar, were found dead in the Terekhol River near Rayacheped in Satarda.

The bodies were recovered on Sunday by police and local villagers. According to preliminary information, the mother and son had tied their hands together with a rope before entering the river.

Police suspect that financial difficulties linked to loans allegedly taken for online gaming may have contributed to the incident. However, the circumstances surrounding their deaths remain under investigation.

An accidental death case has been registered, and further investigation is underway.
