Goa, July 8 -- A 38-year-old man from Dodamarg, presently residing at Cunchelim-Mapusa, was arrested on Tuesday for allegedly molesting two specially-abled minor girls at Karaswada-Mapusa. The incident reportedly occurred around 2 pm near the Bandekar petrol pump in Karaswada, when the two girls were walking from their special school after alighting from the school bus. According to police reports, the accused, identified as Apa (Appa) Asankar/Anaskar, allegedly grabbed the girls' hands and attempted to molest them. When the victims screamed, the suspect tried to flee, but nearby members of the public intervened, forming a mob that caught hold of him and restrained him until police arrived.
