Goa, Sept. 15 -- BCCI vice-president Rajeev Shukla has said Asian Cricket Council chairman Mohsin Naqvi did not object after the Indian women's team decided not to receive the Asia Cup trophy from him following their victory over Sri Lanka in the final.

India defeated Sri Lanka by 72 runs in the Asia Cup final in Dubai on Sunday. However, the Indian team chose not to accept the trophy from Naqvi, who is also Pakistan's interior minister and PCB chairman.

Shukla said the decision was taken collectively by the Board and the team was informed accordingly. According to him, Naqvi did not raise any objection when the decision was communicated.
