Goa, April 17 -- The Mormugao Municipal Council (MMC) has approved the temporary handover of land belonging to Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL) to Kadamba Transport Corporation Limited (KTCL) for a proposed project to be executed under the Public-Private Partnership (PPP) model.

The decision came after prolonged discussions marked by heated exchanges and chaotic scenes during the council meeting. Several councillors voiced concerns over the feasibility of the project, warning that increased bus movement could worsen traffic congestion within the city.
