Goa, Aug. 6 -- The body of a 25-year-old motorcyclist, who went missing after falling into the Salvador do Mundo-Socorro creek on Wednesday night, was recovered on Thursday following an intensive search operation by the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF).

The deceased has been identified as Akash Vishwakarma (25), a native of West Bengal.

According to officials, NDRF teams resumed the search at around 6:30 a.m. after suspending overnight efforts. Rescue personnel, assisted by local authorities, carried out an extensive search in and around the creek before recovering the victim's body.
