Margao, June 24 -- Antique chandeliers that were earlier reported missing from the Margao Municipal Council (MMC) have been traced within the council premises, bringing clarity to concerns surrounding their whereabouts.

MMC Administrator Agnelo Fernandes clarified that a total of seven antique chandeliers belong to the council. Of these, one chandelier has already been repaired and installed in the Chief Officer's chamber, while two others remain in place in the municipal hall.

According to the Administrator, the remaining four chandeliers are currently stored within the MMC premises in a dismantled condition. He stated that these fixtures were not missing but had been taken down for maintenance and preservation purposes.
