Goa, July 18 -- Olympic medallists Mirabai Chanu and Lovlina Borgohain have been chosen to lead the Indian contingent at the opening ceremony of the Commonwealth Games 2026 in Glasgow. The Indian Olympic Association (IOA) announced on Saturday that Mirabai will serve as India's flag bearer, while Lovlina will carry the ceremonial King's Baton.

The opening ceremony is scheduled to take place at the OVO Hydro on July 23, marking the official start of India's campaign at the Games.
