India, March 22 -- It's all time for Mumbai Indians, the five-time champions, as they gear up to begin their Indian Premier League 2026 campaign with a home clash against Kolkata Knight Riders on March 29. Known for their dominance over the years, MI will look to make a strong start and add to their legacy of titles in 2013, 2015, 2017, 2019 and 2020.

The first phase of the tournament, announced by the Board of Control for Cricket in India, will run from March 28 to April 12, featuring 20 matches across 10 cities. The full schedule will be released after Assembly election dates are confirmed.
