Mental health crisis back in focus
Goa, June 12 -- Dr Gauri Narayan, a 23-year-old intern of the Goa Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), Bambolim, whose body was found lying at the Hawaii beach, Dona Paula on Wednesday had been battling a mental health condition known as 'genetic depression' for some time and the Panjim police strongly suspect that she died by suicide as injection marks were found on her arm and a bottle of anesthesia was discovered nearby. The vehicle owned by her was also found parked near the beach.
According to GMC Medi cal Superintendent Dr Rajesh Patil, the deceased was just two days away from complet ing her internship at the GMC before returning to her home in Kerala. He informed that both her parents are doctors and that her father has al ready ...
