India, March 3 -- India has renewed its call for restraint as tensions intensify in Iran and the wider Gulf region, stressing that dialogue and diplomacy remain the only sustainable path to prevent further escalation and civilian harm. In a statement, the Ministry of External Affairs said New Delhi is "deeply concerned" about recent developments and urged all sides to avoid actions that could worsen the situation.
The ministry emphasised that the sovereignty and territorial integrity of all nations must be respected and called for immediate steps to de-escalate tensions. The appeal comes amid a sharp spike in hostilities involving the United States, Israel, and Iran.
