Goa, May 4 -- Residents of Mayem have received a major relief after authorities cancelled the planned water shutdown that was scheduled for May 5 and 6. The shutdown was initially proposed to facilitate urgent work on a 600 mm diameter conveying pipeline at Kodali.
According to an official notice issued by the Public Works Department (PWD), the decision to call off the disruption was taken due to administrative reasons. With the shutdown now cancelled, water supply in the region will continue without interruption, easing concerns among local residents.
