Goa, Oct. 19 -- The fifth edition of Matiechem Fest 5.0, also known as the Festival of the Soil, attracted a large crowd to St John the Baptist Church, celebrating Goa's ancestral culinary heritage, traditional food practices and way of life.

Centred on the theme "RANCHE-KUDINTLEM DIAZ - The Traditional Goan Kitchen," this year's festival showcased the richness of Goa's culinary traditions through displays of vintage earthen cookstoves, antique brass utensils and forgotten local delicacies.
