Goa, June 11 -- German mathematician Joachim Klement, who accurately predicted the winners of the last three FIFA World Cups, has forecast that the Netherlands will emerge victorious at the 2026 tournament.

Klement's statistical model successfully identified Germany as champions in 2014, France in 2018 and Argentina in 2022, earning him widespread attention for his unconventional approach to football forecasting.

Interestingly, Klement said his original goal was to prove that predicting a World Cup winner was virtually impossible. However, when his model correctly picked Germany to win the 2014 tournament in Brazil, he admitted he was stunned by the outcome.
