Goa, May 26 -- Fr Bolmax Pereira passed away at around 4:30 am on Tuesday after suffering a massive cardiac arrest, according to Dr. Rajesh Patil.

Dr Patil informed that Fr Pereira had been admitted to the Goa Medical College for the past two days and was reportedly stable on Monday night before his condition suddenly deteriorated in the early hours of Tuesday.

Despite continuous medical efforts by the doctors to revive him, Fr Pereira could not be saved, Dr Patil stated.

The sudden demise of Fr Pereira, who was widely respected as the Parish Priest of Chicalim and known for his social work and activism, has left the community in shock and mourning.
