Goa, Oct. 15 -- Meta Chief Executive Officer Mark Zuckerberg and his wife, Priscilla Chan, have completed the acquisition of Strancally Castle in Knockanore, County Waterford, for €51.17 million ($57 million). According to records from Ireland's Residential Property Price Register, the transaction closed on August 17, establishing it as the highest price paid for a single residential property in Ireland so far this year.

The sale price substantially surpassed initial market estimates, which had projected the value between €20 million and €30 million when reports of the negotiations first surfaced in August.
