Goa, April 10 -- In a firm bid to regulate public spaces and maintain law and order, Margao Police have stepped up their enforcement drive across the city.
The operation began with the removal of around 20 beggars from the Margao Municipal Garden area and has since expanded to include document verification of migrant workers.
As part of the ongoing crackdown, police on Wednesday carried out a major search operation in areas behind the Margao Municipal Building. Officials said the intensified drive is aimed at ensuring better regulation of public spaces while addressing safety and security concerns.
