Goa, May 27 -- Margao Police have detained three students from Maharashtra in connection with a hit-and-run case involving a rented Mahindra Thar.

According to police sources, the incident involved a rented Mahindra Thar allegedly linked to the hit-and-run accident, following which an investigation was launched by Margao Police. During the course of the probe, three students from Maharashtra were identified and detained for questioning.

Police are currently investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident, including who was driving the vehicle at the time of the accident and the sequence of events leading to the case.

Further investigation in the matter is underway.
