India, April 1 -- In a bold move for public safety, Margao Police on Wednesday conducted a special drive targeting unidentified labourers in and around the city. Addressing the media, Police Inspector Arun Gauns Desai said that 20 unidentified labourers were brought to the Margao Police Station for further inquiry.

He informed that the individuals have been booked under Section 41. The police inspector further stated that such drives will continue in the coming days to ensure safety and proper verification.

PI Desai also appealed to the public to carry out tenant verification to help the police maintain law and order in the city.
