Goa, July 15 -- Margao Police have arrested a 36-year-old man from Maharashtra in connection with the theft of a motorcycle from the Konkan Railway area in Margao.

The accused has been identified as Pravin Adhikumar Girmal, a resident of Abdullat village in Shirol taluka of Kolhapur district.

Police said the arrest was made following an investigation launched after a motorcycle theft case was registered. During the probe, officers traced the accused to Kolhapur.

With the assistance and coordination of the Shahapuri Police Station in Kolhapur, the Margao Police apprehended Girmal and subsequently brought him to Goa for further investigation.

Police said further inquiries are underway in connection with the case.
