Goa, July 2 -- A police constable attached to Mapusa Police Station has been placed under suspension following the initiation of disciplinary proceedings against him. According to an order issued by the Superintendent of Police, North Goa, Police Constable Sandesh Nagoji has been suspended with effect from June 27, 2026.

The suspension order states that Nagoji is involved in a criminal case registered at Mandrem Police Station under relevant provisions of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), 2023. Pending further proceedings, the disciplinary action has been initiated in accordance with service rules.
