Goa, April 17 -- A firefighter from the Mapusa Fire Station, identified as Sanju Madhu Korgaonkar, has been suspended from service following allegations of misconduct while on duty.

The suspension order was issued by the department's director after the allegations came to light. Officials have not yet disclosed the specific nature of the misconduct, but sources indicated that the action was taken as a precautionary measure pending further inquiry.

The department is expected to conduct a detailed investigation into the incident to determine the facts and decide on further disciplinary action.
