Mapusa Court Sends Santosh Lamani to Two-Day Police Custody Over Alleged Offensive Social Media Post
Goa, Aug. 7 -- The Judicial Magistrate First Class (JMFC) Court in Mapusa has remanded Santosh Lamani to two days of police custody in connection with an allegedly offensive social media post concerning Shri Swami Samarth.
According to the police, the post is alleged to have hurt the religious sentiments of devotees, prompting legal action. Following his production before the court, the JMFC granted the investigating agency two days of police custody to facilitate further inquiry.
Police officials said the investigation is being carried out under the supervision of senior officers to ascertain the circumstances surrounding the social media post and any other relevant aspects of the case.
