Goa, April 8 -- Residents of St Cruz have raised alarm over the deteriorating condition of mangroves at the Four Pillars stretch in Kalapur-St Cruz, alleging negligence by authorities.
St Cruz panch Inacio Domnic Pereira, along with local residents, claimed that the natural water flow has been obstructed near a newly constructed culvert in the area, leading to the gradual dying of mangroves.
The residents have expressed their intent to file a police complaint against the Public Works Department, holding it responsible for the situation. They also highlighted poor road conditions on the culvert, raising concerns about both environmental damage and commuter safety.
