Goa, May 8 -- Fresh environmental concerns have emerged in Penha de Franca after locals raised objections over activities taking place along a mangrove stretch between Britona Deck and Ekodi Manas at Coelho Waddo. The issue surfaced soon after reports of large-scale mangrove loss along the Panaji-Bambolim highway in Santa Cruz triggered public discussion over the protection of Goa's fragile coastal ecosystem.
