New Delhi, Aug. 19 -- The father of Mandar Surlakar has approached the Supreme Court challenging the order granting premature release to the accused in his son's murder case.

The Supreme Court has issued notices to Rohan Dhungat, Shankar Tiwari and Jovito Rayan in connection with the petition challenging their premature release.

Through the plea, Surlakar's father has sought the Supreme Court's intervention against the release order. Further proceedings in the matter are awaited.
