Goa, June 26 -- A major fire broke out in a rented room near St. Anthony Chapel in Bastora, causing extensive damage and destroying cash, jewellery, electronic appliances, and other household belongings. Fortunately, no injuries or casualties were reported.

According to available information, the blaze completely gutted the room, reducing most of the family's possessions to ashes. Among the items lost were jewellery, approximately Rs.70,000 in cash, and several household articles. Electronic appliances, including a refrigerator, ceiling fan, and table fan, were also destroyed in the fire.
