Goa, Oct. 7 -- A labourer was killed after a car allegedly went onto the footpath near the Panjim Market bus stop and hit him while he was sleeping at around 3:15 am. Preliminary information indicates that the driver allegedly lost control of the vehicle before it entered the footpath. The deceased's body has been shifted to the GMC mortuary. Panjim Police have arrested the driver and registered a case for alleged rash and negligent driving; further details awaited.
