Goa, April 24 -- Goa has taken a major step towards improving water transport with the launch of two modern ferry vessels, Kushavati and Salaulim. Chief Minister Pramod Sawant inaugurated the high-speed, cruise-like ferries aimed at enhancing connectivity on the busy Panaji-Betim route.

The new vessels replace older boats and are expected to significantly improve travel across the Mandovi River. Each ferry can carry around 150 passengers along with nine vehicles, ensuring faster and more efficient daily commutes.
