Kerala Jewellery Fraud Accused Arrested in Goa
Goa, May 31 -- A habitual offender wanted in a jewellery fraud case in Kerala was arrested in Calangute following a coordinated operation by the Goa Police and Kerala Police.
The accused allegedly cheated a jewellery shop in Kasargode district on May 27 by selecting gold ornaments, including rings and a necklace, and presenting a fake online payment confirmation before fleeing with the valuables.
Acting on intelligence that the suspect frequently travelled to Goa after committing such crimes, Crime Branch teams launched an extensive search across Panjim and Calangute. Police also alerted casinos and party venues after learning that the accused often visited such places following offences.
