Goa, June 29 -- Karnataka has launched the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of its 2026 electoral rolls, with Booth Level Officers (BLOs) set to begin door-to-door verification across the state from June 30. The exercise aims to update the electoral roll using October 1, 2026, as the qualifying date and ensure that all eligible voters are included before the publication of the final list.

Chief Electoral Officer V. Anbukkumar said BLOs will visit every registered voter between June 30 and July 29 to distribute partially pre-filled enumeration forms. Voters will need to affix a recent photograph, verify or update their details, sign the form and return it to the concerned BLO.
