India, April 5 -- Karapur-Sarvan witnessed the start of a protest by local villagers against a proposed mega project. Residents raised serious concerns about the project's impact on water and electricity supply, stating that existing systems are still being stabilised and may not support large-scale development.
Villagers also warned that the project could harm agricultural land and increase the risk of landslides in the area. They further alleged that the land involved belongs to the local communidade and was sold for the project.Calling it a fight to protect their resources and livelihoods, protesters have appealed to the public and nearby communities to extend support to their movement.
