Goa, April 19 -- A 48-year-old man has been arrested for allegedly killing his 11-year-old twin daughters in Kanpur early Sunday. The accused, Shashi Ranjan Mishra, reportedly used a sharp-edged weapon and later called police to confess.

Officers reached the residence and found both children dead inside the flat. Police said the accused had been suspicious of his wife and was allegedly dealing with mental health issues.

The family, originally from Bihar, lived together with their young son. The accused has been taken into custody, and the bodies have been sent for postmortem. Further investigation is ongoing.
