Goa, May 16 -- Kamal Haasan has publicly extended his support to newly sworn-in Tamil Nadu Chief Minister C. Joseph Vijay, praising the actor-turned-politician's humility and vision for the state.

Kamal shared pictures from his recent meeting with Vijay on social media and said he felt proud after interacting with the new Chief Minister. In his post, Kamal stated that Vijay spoke enthusiastically about several dreams and plans for the betterment of Tamil Nadu.

The veteran actor also said he submitted six important demands to the new government regarding support for the Tamil film industry, which he claimed has been facing multiple challenges in recent years.
