Goa, July 17 -- Kala Rakhonn Mandd on Friday criticised Kala Academy Chairman Babu Kavlekar, alleging that he lacks adequate knowledge about the functioning of the Kala Academy and expressing disappointment over the delay in the proposed Open Air Theatre project.

Addressing the media, members of the cultural organisation claimed that the Kala Academy's Member Secretary had failed to fulfil an assurance to lay the foundation stone for the Open Air Theatre.

Warning of intensified protests, the group said it would launch a major agitation against the government if the foundation stone is not laid as promised.
