Goa, July 23 -- Jantar Mantar saw large-scale volunteer participation on Tuesday as citizens and organisations came together to provide food and basic necessities to protesters gathered at the demonstration site. The relief effort followed the previous day's confrontation between protesters and police, with many visitors saying they wanted to support those continuing the agitation.

Throughout the day, volunteers distributed meals that included rajma chawal, kadhi chawal, pizzas, burgers, fruits, biscuits, juices and bottled water from temporary counters. Many donors said they had contributed money to ensure those attending the protest had access to regular meals.
